Background
Charles J. Castoro, M.D., graduated from the A course at the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. He received his degree in chemistry, graduating summa cum laude from Washington and Jefferson College. Four years later, he graduated cum laude from the Georgetown University School of Medicine. After a year of medical and surgical internship at Greater Baltimore Medical Center, Dr. Castoro began his ophthalmology training at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, where he was chief resident. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
Dr. Castoro is board-certified and sees patients in consultation with the ophthalmology residents and other members of the medical staff.
