Background
Dr. Therese Canares is an assistant professor of pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her area of clinical expertise is pediatric emergency medicine.
Dr. Canares earned her M.D. from New York University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Montefiore Medical Center and performed a fellowship at Hasbro Children's Hospital at the Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
Her early research focus was on health services research, specifically pediatric urgent care and retail based care. Her current recent research concentrates on digital health and technology integration to improve pediatric care. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
