Dr. Marguerite Kearney holds a joint appointment in anesthesiology and critical care medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her research focuses on pathophysiology.
Prior to joining Hopkins, Dr. Kearney taught master’s and doctoral students in trauma critical care at the University of Maryland School of Nursing. She has been a nurse corps officer in the United States Navy Reserve.
Dr. Kearney designed the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing Health Systems Management: Emergency Preparedness/Disaster Response program and played a critical role in the Johns Hopkins relief efforts for natural disasters like Hurricane Katrina.
She is a fellow of the American Academy of Nursing and a member of the American Nurses Association, the Association of Military Surgeons of the U.S. and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
