Background
Bradley R. Watkins, M.D., is the office medical director at Johns Hopkins Community Physicians in Downtown Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Watkins serves as an internist and primary care physician, and is affiliated with Suburban Hospital.
Dr. Watkins received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and completed his residency in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.
Dr. Watkins previously served at the VA Medical Center, where he was the disability rating examiner for returning Iraq and Afghanistan veterans. He completed a research internship at the Center for Primary Care, Preventions and Clinical Partnerships, where he co-authored an evidence review of the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force. He also conducted a research internship at Pittsburgh Children's Hospital Department of Microbiology and was the Bone Densitometry Clinic Manager at the VA Medical Center. Dr. Watkins also served rotations in Lilongwe, Malawi and Korror, Palau.
Dr. Watkins has created enrichment courses and served as a preceptor for medical residents. He has published articles and abstracts.
Dr. Watkins has been named a Top Doctor by Washingtonian Magazine and received the Arnold P. Gold Humanism in Medicine Award.
