Background
Dr. Kathy Huang is a plastic surgeon affiliated with Sibley Memorial Hospital, Suburban Hospital, Holy Cross Hospital and Shady Grove Adventist Hospital. She practices out of the Plastic Surgery Institute of Washington in North Bethesda, Md.
Dr. Huang has an expertise in aesthetic and cosmetic plastic surgery, as well as breast reconstruction. She has a special interest in ethnic cosmetic procedures, such as double eyelid surgery and female genital procedures including vaginal reconstruction and labiaplasty.
Dr. Huang earned her undergraduate degree from Harvard University and her medical degree from University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She completed residencies in general surgery and plastic surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Huang also completed a fellowship in plastic surgery at Mercy Medical Center that focused on advanced microsurgical techniques for breast reconstruction after mastectomy.
Dr. Huang is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She serves on the board of the Montgomery County Medical Society.
