Lawrence Shin, MD is a Fellowship trained spine surgeon serving the greater Baltimore metropolitan region. Dr. Shin performs both minimally spine surgeries and complex surgeries on the cervical, lumbar, and thoracic regions of the spine.

Dr. Shin comprehensively evaluates each patient and non-operative treatment is aggressively pursued before surgery is recommended. Under Dr. Shin's care patients are directed to a select team of physical therapists, chiropractors, rehabilitation doctors, pain management specialists, physiatrists, cancer specialists, neurologists, anesthesiologists and neurosurgeons.

Dr. Shin has practiced orthopaedic spine surgery in Baltimore and Howard County since 1992. He earned his bachelor's degree from Northwestern and medical doctorate from Harvard Medical School and completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the UCLA Medical Center and fellowship training in spine surgery under Edward Simmons, M.D.
