Paul Nagy, Ph.D., F.S.I.I.M. is an Associate Professor in the Johns Hopkins University Schools of Medicine in the Russell H. Morgan Department of Radiology as well as the Division of Health Science Informatics. Dr. Nagy serves as the Deputy Director of the Johns Hopkins Medicine Technology Innovation Center.
He serves as the program director for three year-long multidisciplinary clinical leadership programs at Johns Hopkins Medicine in clinical informatics, clinical analytics and creating commercial ventures. There have been over 100 faculty and staff that have gone through the programs since 2012. Dr. Nagy is the author of over 100 papers in the fields of informatics, analytics and quality and has delivered over 200 presentations at national conferences.
He currently serves on the Board of Health for Howard County, the Council Steering Committee for the American College of Radiology, the Board of the American College of Medical Quality, and is the chair-elect for the Society of Imaging Informatics in Medicine. From 2010-2012 he served as the chair of the American Board of Imaging Informatics (ABII) which currently has over 1,200 diplomats. He participates on national standard-setting bodies (DICOM, HL7 and IHE) as well as committees for ACR, ACMQ, AAPM, RSNA and SIIM. Dr. Nagy writes a column on quality and safety in the Journal of the American College of Radiology. In 2012, he was inducted into the college of fellows for the Society of Imaging Informatics in Medicine. The Baltimore Business Journal honored him with the 2015 Healthcare Innovation Educator of the year award.
