Dr. Schechner, a native of Virginia Beach, VA, is a third generation surgeon. He received his B.A. in psychology from the University of Virginia in 1996, a Masters of Medical Science from MCP-Hahnemann University in 1998, and his MD from the Medical College of Virginia in 2002. He completed his general surgery training in 2007 at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. He is board-certified in General Surgery.
