Background
Charlotte Wu, M.D., is an assistant professor of urology at the Brady Urological Institute and Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. She graduated magna cum laude from Middlebury College with a double major in Molecular Biology/ Biochemistry and French. She completed medical school at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, general surgery internship and urology residency at Yale New Haven Hospital, and pediatric urology fellowship at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Dr. Wu has expertise in the treatment of all pediatric urological conditions. She has advanced training and clinical emphasis in surgical reconstruction for congenital urinary tract anomalies, minimally invasive/ robotic surgery, pediatric kidney stone treatment, and treatment of pediatric genitourinary tumors.
Dr. Wu has research interests in posterior urethral valve, vesicoureteral reflux, and post-surgical outcomes in congenital urinary tract anomalies. She has been primary and co-author of numerous scholarly papers and book chapters. She routinely presents at national and international conferences and serves as a reviewer for Journal of Urology, Journal of Pediatric Urology, and Journal of Pediatric Surgery.
