Background
Khalil Husari, M.D., is a neurologist with expertise in epilepsy and electroencephalography (EEG). He specializes in treating patients with autoimmune epilepsy, presurgical evaluation for and the management of drug-resistant epilepsy, and the acute and chronic management of patients with status epilepticus.
Dr. Husari earned his medical degree from the University of Jordan School of Medicine, then completed his residency in neurology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where he served as a chief resident during his final year. Dr. Husari continued his training as an epilepsy fellow at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
Dr. Husari’s research interests include autoimmune epilepsy; status epilepticus, including new-onset refractory status epilepticus (NORSE); and critical care electroencephalogram (EEG) monitoring.
