Background
Amanda Walker, MD, is a board-certified radiation oncologist with the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center in the Greater Washington Area. She is an expert in the treatment of breast, gynecologic, and genitourinary cancer and is widely published in the field.
Dr. Walker graduated summa cum laude from Indiana University and then earned her medical degree from Tufts University. She completed a preliminary year in Internal Medicine at the University of Chicago, followed by her residency training in radiation oncology at The Johns Hopkins Hospital.
She previously served as Adjunct Investigator in the Radiation Oncology Branch at the National Cancer Institute and as the Associate Director of Radiation Oncology for the US Food and Drug Administration.
In addition to her clinical experience, Dr. Walker has an extensive background in both clinical and translational research.
