        We live in [ ]. Local doctors were treating me for essential tremors. I was taking more and more meds and I was shaking apart, It was difficult to feed myself or drink. Then we saw Doctor Butala and he changed everything. I'm on a Parkinson's med, it's working and I'm taking less meds now. Thank You all so much.

        I have been Dr.Butala's patient for the past 6 months. During these 6 months I have been feeling better than the 5-6 years prior to meeting Dr. Butala, He provided solid analysis of the constraints and options, was generous with his time and patient with me to make sure I have entirely understood,I am grateful to Dr. Butala for his efforts to provide me with optimum prescription for my illness.

        Dr Batala was thorough and explained things well. Appointment was disjointed by several emergencies during visit. We understand that there are emergencies. Even with disruptions he spent significant time and did a very thorough evaluation. Scheduling of various scans he ordered is difficult and help scheduling them would have been great from staff. Timing of MRI is concerning.

        Dr. Butala has treated my Parkinson's since it has been diagnosed, about 4 years. I have found him to be an excellent communicator, teacher and extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of Parkinson's disease. I feel that I am lucky to be his patient, as he takes his time with me and is both responsive to questions and creative in his treatment.

        He was very knowledgeable and professional. I feel that he made great decisions about how to proceed. The only minor issue was that once it was his turn to talk, after he was done asking me questions, he seemed a bit dismissive of what I had to say. As if any other details were superfluous. I only mention this because I am aware that Hopkins pays attention to inequality in patient care and they were finding deficiencies in care when there is a difference between the patient and the provider, whether in ethnicity, gender or other demographic. But the plan to move forward seems comprehensive and clear. The medicine seems sound.
