Dr. Marissa J. White is a Maryland native and graduated from the University of Richmond with a B.A. in biology. She then earned her M.D. from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. White completed her residency training in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where she served as Chief Resident from 2016-2017. She then completed the Advanced Specialty Training Program in Surgical Pathology with a focus on breast pathology.
Dr. White joined the Division of Surgical Pathology in July 2018, where her clinical efforts will be focused on diagnostics in breast pathology. Her research efforts will be focused on graduate and undergraduate pathology medical education. She will also continue to work closely with the Pathology Diversity Committee to support the department’s commitment to a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
