She is also an adjunct associate professor in the Division of Biostatistics and Bioinformatics at The Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine
Her research interests lie in developing Bayes theory and methods for a broad range of problems, such as reinforcement learning, high-dimensional data analysis, nonparametric statistics, and uncertainty quantification. She also develops new statistical and machine learning methods for various applications, including electronic health records, dynamic treatment regimens, cancer genomics, early detection of Alzheimer’s disease, mental health in people with HIV, early-phase clinical trial designs, and material engineering.
Dr. Xu’s research has been funded by National Science Foundation (NSF), National Institutes of Health (NIH), The Johns Hopkins Center for AIDS Research, France’s Institut National du Cancer, and various industries. Patient Ratings & Comments
The Patient Rating score is an average of all responses to physician related questions on the national CG-CAHPS Medical Practice patient experience survey through Press Ganey. Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the best score. Comments are also gathered from our CG-CAHPS Medical Practice Survey through Press Ganey and displayed in their entirety. Patients are de-identified for confidentiality and patient privacy.
