Background

Dr. Abhishek Srinivas received his medical degree from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in 2006. He completed his diagnostic radiology residency at the Montefiore Medical Center of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York in 2011. This was followed by a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2012.

Prior to joining Johns Hopkins as faculty, Dr. Srinivas established an interventional oncology practice serving much of central New Jersey, and a local hub for patients affiliated with Hahnemann University Hospital’s liver transplant program in Philadelphia. During this time, Dr. Srinivas was also part of the neuroradiology team for the hospital’s stroke center.

His primary areas of expertise include interventional oncology (liver, kidney and bone cancers), vascular disease (deep vein thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, aneurysm treatment), uterine fibroid embolization, spine interventions, and advanced biliary interventions. Other interests include novel device evaluation and development.
