Clarisa Catherine Hammer, D.O.

Dr. Clarisa C. Hammer is a surgeon affiliated with Sibley Memorial Hospital and Inova Hospitals. Dr. Hammer is board certified in surgery and plastic surgery by the American Board of Surgery. She practices out of Affiliates in Plastic Surgery, located in Alexandria, Virginia and Rockville, Maryland.
Dr. Hammer has expertise in plastic and reconstructive surgery, as well as breast and oncoplastic surgery.
Dr. Hammer earned her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed a residency in general surgery at St. Johns Oakland Hospital, followed by a fellowship in breast surgical oncology at Cleveland Clinic and a fellowship in oncoplastic breast surgery at Los Angeles County and USC Medical Center. Dr. Hammer also completed a European oncoplastic fellowship through European Institute of Oncology and a final fellowship at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she studied plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Hammer volunteers with Samaritan's Purse, International Organization for Women and Development and the Cure Hospitals.
Dr. Hammer is a member of the American Osteopathic Association.
