Kathleen Devine, M.D.
Expertise: Fibroids, Gynecology, Infertility , Obstetrics, Reproductive Endocrinology
Dr. Kathleen Devine is a reproductive endocrinologist affiliated with Sibley Memorial Hospital, as well as the co-director of research at Shady Grove Fertility. Dr. Devine is certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and is eligible for certification in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. She practices out of Shady Grove Fertility in Washington, D.C. and Rockville, Md.
Dr. Devine has an expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility, including ovulatory dysfunction and ovarian aging.
Dr. Devine earned her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine with a distinction in ovarian cancer research. She completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at New York University Langone Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Devine has worked for the International Organization for Women and Development in Niger on an obstetrical fistulae repair mission, as well as for the Child Family Health International in Quito on women’s reproductive health.
Dr. Devine is a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, as well as a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technologies.
Dr. Devine has won awards for her research, including the Traveling Scholars Award from the Society for Male Reproduction and Urology of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the Outstanding Resident/Fellow Research Award from the New York Obstetrical Society.
Dr. Devine’s research interest is in fertility. She has published on a range of topics, from fibroids to egg freezing for fertility preservation. Dr. Devine has mentored students in the Georgetown University Masters Program in biochemistry and molecular and cellular biology, and she has been an invited lecturer at the National Institutes of Health.
