Dr. Paul T. Gavaris is an ophthalmologist affiliated with Sibley Memorial Hospital, as well as Georgetown University Hospital, Children’s National Medical Center, Washington Hospital Center, National Naval Medical Center and George Washington University Hospital. Dr. Gavaris lectures at each of these institutions. Dr. Gavaris is certified in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He practices out of Eye Associates of Washington, D.C., located in Washington, D.C. and Vienna, Va.
Dr. Gavaris has an expertise in oculoplastic and orbital reconstructive surgery, as well as functional and cosmetic eyelid and eyebrow surgery, tearing problems, eyelid reconstruction following skin cancer removal, dry eyes, and using Botox for facial spasms and facial wrinkles. Dr. Gavaris is also skilled at performing in-office procedures, such as filler injections and lip augmentation.
Dr. Gavaris earned his medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine after working as a pharmacist. He then completed residencies in ophthalmology at Washington Hospital Center and Wills Eye Hospital.
Dr. Gavaris is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, as well as a member of the American Society of Oculoplastic and Reconstructive Surgeons.
Dr. Gavaris has been named a Super Doctor by the Washington Post and one of Northern Virginia’s top plastic surgeons.
Dr. Gavaris has contributed to numerous publications and presentations.
