Dr. Lester Marion is a gastroenterologist affiliated with Sibley Memorial Hospital and Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Marion is certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has a private practice in Chevy Chase, Md. 

Dr. Marion has an expertise in irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, Barrett’s esophagus and colon cancer prevention and screening. 

Dr. Marion earned his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton and his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Georgetown University Hospital and a fellowship in gastroenterology at the Medical College of Virginia. 

Dr. Marion is a member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American Gastroenterological Association, the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation and the William E. Clark Society of Gastroenterology, of which he served as president from 1980 to 1981. more
