Howard Boltansky, M.D., is an allergist and immunologist affiliated with Sibley Memorial Hospital. Dr. Boltansky is certified in allergy and immunology by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Allergy & Immunology. He has a private practice in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Boltansky earned his undergraduate degree from Tufts University and his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Maryland Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in allergy and clinical immunology at the National Institutes of Health.
Dr. Boltansky is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the Medical Society of the District of Columbia and the Greater Washington Asthma, Allergy and Immunology Society, of which he was president in 1995 and 1996.
Dr. Boltansky has been repeatedly named a Top M.D. by Washingtonian Magazine. He has also been named a Super Doctor by the Washington Post Magazine, a Top M.D. by Consumers’ Checkbook magazine and a Top Doctor in the Washington, D.C. and Washington-Baltimore areas by Castle Connolly. In 1985, Dr. Boltansky earned the Aspen Allergy Conference Travel Grant Award and the American Academy of Allergy and Immunology Travel Grant Award. During medical school, he earned the Louis, Samuel and Ida Cohen Award for Excellence in Medical School and the Outstanding Intern Award at University of Maryland Hospital.
Dr. Boltansky has contributed to numerous publications on allergy and immunology topics.
