Dr. George Bolen is a gastroenterologist affiliated with Sibley Memorial Hospital and Suburban Hospital, as well as an associate clinical professor of medicine at George Washington University School of Medicine and Georgetown University School of Medicine. Dr. Bolen is certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He practices out of Capital Digestive Care’s Metropolitan Gastroenterology Group in Washington, D.C. and Bethesda, Md.
Dr. Bolen has an expertise in hepatology and clinical research.
Dr. Bolen earned his undergraduate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine. He completed a residency in internal medicine at New York Hospital, as well as a fellowship in gastroenterology. Dr. Bolen served as a Major in the United States Air Force Medical Corps from 1982-1986.
Dr. Bolen is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, as well as a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Medical Association, the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America, the Washington Society of Gastroenterology and the American Gastroenterological Association, amongst other organizations.
