Dr. Edward G. Magur is an orthopaedic surgeon at Sibley Memorial Hospital. He is board certified and practices out of Washington Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, located in Sibley Memorial Hospital’s Medical Building and Chevy Chase, MD. He is affiliated with Sibley Memorial Hospital and George Washington University Hospital. Dr. Magur has a conservative management approach, preferring to use nonoperative methods on patients if feasible.

Dr. Magur earned his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and his medical degree from SUNY Upstate Medical University. He completed a general surgery internship and a residency in orthopaedic surgery at Georgetown University Medical Center, followed by an orthopaedic foot and ankle fellowship at Center for Orthopaedic Care.
Dr. Magur was the foot and ankle consultant for the Washington Capitals, Washington Wizards and Washington Ballet, as well as the former assistant team physician for the Washington Nationals. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Magur has a research interest in foot and ankle injuries of athletes, as well as foot and ankle arthroscopy and reconstruction. He has contributed to numerous publications and presented his research as well.
