Background
Dr. Craig A. Sable is a pediatric cardiologist affiliated with Sibley Memorial Hospital, George Washington University Hospital, Washington Adventist Hospital, Holy Cross Hospital, Frederick Memorial Hospital, Peninsula Regional Medical Center and Children’s National Medical Center, where he is the director of echocardiography and pediatric cardiology fellowship training, as well as the medical director of telemedicine. He practices out of Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Sable has expertise in cardiac imaging, echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiogram.
Dr. Sable earned his medical degree from University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He completed a residency in pediatrics at Children’s National Medical Center, as well as a fellowship in pediatric cardiology. Dr. Sable has led medical mission trips to Uganda, resulting in over 150 children receiving life-saving treatment. He has also helped improve the cardiology program for open heart surgery at the Uganda Heart Institute at Mulago Hospital.
Dr. Sable has been named a Top Doctor by Washingtonian Magazine, a Super Doctor by Washington Post magazine and a Regional Top Doctor for the Washington, D.C. area by Castle Connolly.
Dr. Sable is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the American Heart Association. He chairs several committees for the American Heart Association and American Board of Pediatrics.
Dr. Sable has contributed to numerous publications and presented on pediatric cardiology topics.
