Background
Dr. Carrie Herzke is an assistant professor of medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her areas of clinical expertise include hospital medicine, infectious diseases and internal medicine.
Dr. Herzke serves as the associate vice chair for clinical affairs in the Department of Medicine, director of clinical operations for the Hospitalist Program at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and director of the Mary Elizabeth Garrett Service.
She earned her M.D. from Virginia Commonwealth University Medical College of Virginia. She completed her residency at the Duke University School of Medicine.
Dr. Herzke's research interests include quality improvement; infectious diseases, notably infection control; and resident and student education.
