Background

Dr. Nae-Yuh Wang is an associate professor of medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He holds joint appointments in biostatistics and in epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. His areas of clinical expertise include clinical investigation, clinical trials and cochlear implantation.

Dr. Wang received his B.S. from Chung Yuan Christian University and his M.S. from National Central University in Taiwan. He earned his Ph.D. from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Dr. Wang is a researcher, mentor and teacher in the field of biostatistics as applied to clinical, translational and epidemiologic research. He has directed the Biostatistics Core for the Bayview General Clinical Research Center (and now the Clinical Research Unit) as well as the Biostatistics and Informatics Core for the Center for Mind-Body Research and the Biostatistics Sub-Core for the Diabetes Research and Training Center's Prevention and Control Core. He is also the principal investigator of the Data Coordinating Center for a landmark study of cochlear implants funded by the NIH-NIDCD.

He is an expert in translation at the interface between theoretical biostatisticians and clinical researchers, particularly in developing novel biostatistical methods and solutions with real-world applications.
