Background
Dr. Vikesh K. Singh is currently a Professor of Medicine and Director of Pancreatology where he oversees the Pancreatitis Center and the Islet Autotransplantation Programs. He is also the Director of Endoscopy at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He is the current Vice Chair of the American Gastroenterological Association Institute Pancreatic Disorders Section. He is also on the Board of Directors for the National Pancreas Foundation and on the Medical Advisory Board of the Familial Chylomicronemia Syndrome Foundation. He graduated with a B.S. in Applied Mathematics-Biology from Brown University, an M.D. from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and an M.Sc. in epidemiology from the Harvard School of Public Health. He completed his internship and residency training in internal medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital followed by a fellowship in gastroenterology from Brigham and Women’s Hospital and a return to Johns Hopkins Hospital for an advanced endoscopy fellowship with a focus on pancreaticobiliary endoscopy.
