Background
Dr. Tamara Oei is a diagnostic radiologist with an expertise in body imaging and more than 10 years of private practice experience.
Dr. Oei joins Johns Hopkins from Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group where she served as subspecialty chief of Abdominal Imaging and subsection chief of CT. Her latest contribution was establishing and chairing a radiology Peer Learning Program, a contemporary approach to error analysis in a supportive and nonjudgmental environment, leading to continued improvements on an individual and system level.
Dr. Oei earned her medical degree from Harvard Medical School, going on to an internship at Newton-Wellesley Hospital and radiology residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Dr. Oei completed her fellowship training in abdominal imaging and intervention at Massachusetts General Hospital.
