Background
Dr. Sun Jung “Sunny” Oh is a gastroenterologist who treats a variety of gastrointestinal disorders and provides colon cancer screening. She also has an interest in treating patients who have motility conditions, including esophageal motility and defecatory disorders.
Dr. Oh obtained her medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia. She completed her internal medicine residency training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and a fellowship in gastroenterology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. During her training, she received the teaching award for fellow of the year during her first year, and served as the chief fellow for the gastroenterology fellowship, and will continue to be involved in medical education as the co-director for the GI course for the school of medicine.
Dr. Oh’s research interests include motility disorders, gut microbiome and medical education. Her clinical research has been published in many peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences.
