Background
Dr. Suzy Chen is an assistant professor of ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute. She is a member of the glaucoma team and sees patients at their locations in Bethesda and Columbia, Maryland. In addition to providing comprehensive eye care, Dr. Chen has a special research and clinical interest in glaucoma and post-operative surgical care. She enjoys customizing treatment modalities for each patient and collaborating with specialists to improve clinical outcomes.
Dr. Chen completed her undergraduate degree at Boston College. She received her Doctor of Optometry degree at the State University of New York College of Optometry, where she graduated at the top of her class. She then completed a residency in ocular disease at the VA Maryland Health Care System prior to joining Johns Hopkins.
