Background

Dr. Sara Muñoz-Blanco is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Divisions of Neonatology and Pediatric Palliative Care. Her areas of clinical expertise are neonatology and perinatal, neonatal, and pediatric palliative care. Her primary research interests lie at the intersection of neonatology, palliative care, communication, and underserved populations, particularly Spanish-speaking patients and families. She has experience with program-building, qualitative research methodology, and communication skills training. 

 

Dr. Muñoz-Blanco graduated from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. She completed her Pediatrics residency training at New York Presbyterian Weill-Cornell Medical Center. She also completed fellowships in both Neonatology and Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Medicine at Johns Hopkins in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
