Background
Charlotte Wu, M.D., is an assistant professor of urology at the Brady Urological Institute and Johns Hopkins Children’s Center. Dr. Wu graduated magna cum laude from Middlebury College with a double major in Molecular Biology/ Biochemistry and French. She completed medical school at Case Western Reserve and went on to residency training in general surgery and urologic surgery at Yale New Haven Hospital, Yale University School of Medicine. Following residency, she completed a fellowship in pediatric urology at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Emory University School of Medicine.
Dr. Wu treats all pediatric urological disorders in infants (up to 1 year, Children (1-11 years) and adolescents (12-18 years). Her clinical practice includes the spectrum of pediatric urological conditions using open and minimally invasive techniques such as laparoscopy, robotic surgery, and endourology.
Her clinical interests are in pediatric genitourinary tumors and complex reconstruction of the urinary tract. Her current research interests are in vesicoureteral reflux and renal and urologic outcomes in posterior urethral valve and spina bifida patients.
