Philip Kim, O.D., F.A.A.O., is an assistant professor of ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins Medicine. Dr. Kim is a comprehensive optometrist with a clinical focus in neuro-ophthalmology and has special research interests in ocular disease including optic nerve pathologies, double vision, and other eye movement disorders. 

Dr. Philip Kim graduated from McGill University with a Bachelors of Science in Microbiology and Immunology in Canada and received a Bachelors of Science in Vision Science at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Kim proceeded to complete his Doctorate of Optometry at Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry to which he graduated with honors.

Following his education, Dr. Kim received his residency training in ocular disease at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida where he trained with some of the most reputable clinical ophthalmologists in the fields of glaucoma, retina, cornea and neuro-ophthalmology. Afterwards, Dr. Kim spent three years as a full time faculty instructor and assistant professor in Optometry at Nova Southeastern College of Optometry and became a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. more
