Background

Dr. Peng Lu is an assistant professor of surgery in the Departments of Surgery and Pediatric Surgery at Johns Hopkins. He conducts research on bacterial-epithelial interactions, particularly the innate immunity in necrotizing enterocolitis in order to develop novel preventive/therapeutic strategies.

Dr. Lu received his BSc and PhD from Shandong Medical University in China. His work has been recognized with Research Fellowship for Early Career Faculty Investigators from the North American/United States Shock Society and the Paul Rothman Pilot Grant, Department of Surgery, at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
