Dr. Michael Albert is an assistant professor of medicine at Johns Hopkins Medicine and the GI section chief at Sibley Memorial Hospital. He is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine and practices at Sibley Memorial Hospital's Medical Office Building in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Albert earned his medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed residencies in Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic / Mayo Medical School College of Medicine and Duke University School of Medicine. Dr. Albert also completed a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at George Washington University. Dr. Albert serves on the Medical School Admissions Committee at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
Dr. Albert has been repeatedly named one of America’s Top Doctors by Castle Connolly. He was also named a Top Doctor in the Washington D.C. and Washington-Baltimore areas by Castle Connolly in 2012 on, and Washingtonian Magazine in 2017.
