Background
Melat Gebremichael, M.D., is a family medicine physician with Johns Hopkins Community Physicians. Dr. Gebremichael attended medical school at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. She then went on to complete her residency program at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital/Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC.
She has expertise in diabetes, hypertension and women’s health. Dr. Gebremichael enjoys the endless learning opportunities that come with being a physician. She appreciates the challenges that come with providing care to her patients; allowing herself to step outside of her comfort zone, look at things from multiple angles and be more open-minded.
In her free time she loves to hike, travel, enjoy good food and picnicking with her dog. Dr. Gebremichael speaks Amharic.
