Research Summary

Dr. Liu studies the mechanisms of inflammation in the lung with an emphasis on the response to allergen exposures and the role of macrophages, dendritic cells, and T cells in allergic inflammation in human studies.  He conducts multicenter  clinical trials sponsored by pharmaceutical companies or the NIH to develop new treatments for severe asthma.
