M. Veronica Dioverti, M.D. recently joined as a Clinical Associate in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She graduated from Universidad Nacional de Asuncion and completed her internship and residency training at Bridgeport Hospital-Yale University in Bridgeport, CT. She then pursued General and Transplant/Oncology Infectious Diseases fellowships at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.

Her primary clinical interest is caring for transplant, hematology/oncology malignancies and other immunocompromised patients. Her research has focused on optimizing the diagnosis of cytomegalovirus infection via quantitative nucleic acid testing and risk stratification using Interferon ɣ Release Assays. Other areas of interest include fungal infections in hematologic malignancies.
