Background
Dr. De La Rosa was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. He earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in 2016. He then completed his internal medicine residency at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus in 2019, where he was the recipient of several teaching awards, including Resident Scholar and Teacher of the Year. Prior to joining Johns Hopkins, he was clinical faculty at Harvard Medical School. His research interests stem from a passion for educating the next generation of physicians, specifically in the areas of teaching methods for clinical reasoning and clinical skills development.
Outside of medicine, Dr. De La Rosa enjoys playing piano, lifting weights, hiking, salsa dancing, learning languages, traveling, and exploring new restaurants.
