Background
Lilah Morris-Wiseman, M.D., F.A.C.S., is an endocrine surgeon who serves as chief of the Division of Endocrine Surgery.
Dr. Morris-Wiseman came to Johns Hopkins in 2021 from the University of Arizona College of Medicine where she was an Associate Professor of Endocrine Surgery. She has a broad endocrine surgery practice using minimally invasive techniques as appropriate to facilitate excellent clinical outcomes with rapid patient recovery. Her clinical practice emphasizes patient-centered shared decision-making and excellent communication and multidisciplinary collaboration so that a patient’s surgical care occurs within an individualized context. She has been named an associate member of the American College of Surgeons' Academy of Master Surgeon Educators. Awardees are recognized for having devoted their careers to surgical education and are considered premier leaders in their respective fields.
Dr. Morris-Wiseman holds committee responsibilities with multiple national organizations including the American Thyroid Association, the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons, and the Association of Program Directors in Surgery. She serves on the editorial board of Clinical Thyroidology, is a reviewer for multiple journals, and has published over 50 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters.
Dr. Morris-Wiseman sees patients at the Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center in Baltimore and the Johns Hopkins Health Care & Surgery Center – Green Spring Station in Lutherville.
