Background
Kelly M. Seidler, O.D. is an optometrist seeing patients at the Wilmer Eye Institute’s location in Frederick, Maryland. Her primary focus is in ocular disease with additional interest in neuro-ophthalmic diseases, including ocular manifestations of neurologic conditions such as multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease. She provides comprehensive eye care including routine eye examinations, ocular emergencies and co-management of surgical patients.
Dr. Seidler graduated magna cum laude with a major in biology at Virginia Tech and received her O.D. with highest honors from Salus University in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. While in optometry school, she participated in the Advanced Studies program and completed additional course work in neuro-ophthalmic disease. She completed her two-year optometry residency training at The Eye Institute at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry of Salus University, with focus on diagnosis and management of neuro-ophthalmic disease and ocular disease. During her residency, she gained experience in working with various conditions including glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, uveitis, diplopia, optic neuropathies and dry eye.
