Background

Dr. Junghoon Lee is an associate professor of Radiation Oncology and Molecular Radiation Sciences at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

Dr. Lee received his B.S. in electrical engineering and his M.S. in biomedical engineering in 1997 and 1999, respectively, from Seoul National University in Seoul, Republic of Korea. He earned his Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana in 2006.

In 2007, he joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the NSF Engineering Research Center for Computer-Integrated Surgical Systems and Technology at Johns Hopkins as a postdoctoral fellow, and continued to work as an associate research scientist from 2009 to 2010, and an assistant research professor from 2010 to 2013.

Since 2012, he has been leading the Medical Image Computing and Analysis (MICA) laboratory in the Department Radiation Oncology and Molecular Radiation Sciences. His current research interests are in image processing and analysis, and computer vision with application to medical imaging problems.
