Background
Dr. Cousin specializes pediatric neurology and epilepsy at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital and sees patients at the hospital’s main campus in St. Petersburg, Florida. He joined the hospital staff in 2023.
Dr. Cousin’s main areas of interest are medical and surgical management of pediatric epilepsy and neonatal neurology. He is also interested in ketogenic diet therapy for epilepsy and its role in often improving neurocognition in addition to its reduction in seizure burden.
Dr. Cousin earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Medicine. He then completed his pediatrics residency at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston before completing a child neurology fellowship at Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago where he developed his passion for neonatal neurology and epilepsy. Dr. Cousin then returned to Texas Children’s for his pediatric epilepsy fellowship.
