Background

J. Zachary Hughes, MD, MPH, is the medical director of JHCP Sibley Primary Care specialized in Internal Medicine. He has clinical interests in comprehensive preventive medicine and management of diabetes mellitus. Prior to his career at Sibley Primary Care, he completed his medical residency at The Ohio State University, during which he was actively involved in medical education and received a Resident Teacher Award.

Dr. Hughes earned his Medical Degree at Drexel University, graduating with awards for clinical excellence. During medical school, he additionally completed his Masters in Public Health with a focus in Policy and Advocacy. In addition to his clinical interests, Dr. Hughes is a proponent for policies that support health living and well-being, such as his implementation of smoke-free policies on the Drexel University Campus and work with the Philadelphia Department of Public Health and Department of Health and Human Services in D.C.

Dr. Hughes is dedicated to a holistic approach to patient care and helps patients take steps to prevent and reduce disease.
