Dr. Jessica Rice is an assistant professor of pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her clinical specialty is pediatric pulmonary medicine, including asthma, general pulmonary conditions, cystic fibrosis, and congenital diaphragmatic hernia.

Dr. Rice attended The Pennsylvania State University for undergraduate studies and received her D.O. from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. She completed her pediatric residency at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia and fellowship in pediatric pulmonology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. She also completed an M.H.S. (clinical investigation) at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Rice joined the Johns Hopkins faculty in 2015.

Dr. Rice is a co-investigator in the Johns Hopkins Center for the Study of Childhood Asthma in the Urban Environment (EPA/ NIEHS). Her primary research interest is in modifiable risk factors of pediatric lung disease, including air pollution, secondhand smoke exposure, and diet pattern. more
