Background
Dr. Javad Azadi is an Assistant Professor in the Johns Hopkins Medicine Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences. He specializes in body magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), ultrasound, and image-guided biopsy.
Dr. Azadi graduated from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 2013. He subsequently completed a preliminary internal medicine internship at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore followed by diagnostic radiology residency at Johns Hopkins. During his final year of radiology residency, Dr. Azadi was a chief resident and served as a cross-sectional imaging fellow. Dr. Azadi graduated residency with distinction in Clinical Education and High Value Care. Following residency, he completed a year-long fellowship in Body MRI at Johns Hopkins. Currently, Dr. Azadi serves as the assistant course director for the diagnostic radiology medical student elective, course director for the business of radiology resident elective, and the representative radiologist on the departmental QI committee.
Dr. Azadi’s research focuses on the role of body CT and MRI in evaluating the gastrointestinal and genitourinary systems. He joins the Johns Hopkins faculty in July 2019.
