Dr. Francis Deng is an expert in neuroradiology, specializing in diagnostic imaging of the head, neck, brain, and spine.
He is a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard College and earned his medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine. He then completed a medical internship at Brigham and Women's Hospital, followed by diagnostic radiology residency and neuroradiology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, both affiliates of Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Deng's academic interests include medical education. He has authored chapters in bestselling textbooks such as First Aid for the USMLE Step 1 and Core Radiology: A Visual Approach to Diagnostic Imaging. He is an Editor of Radiopaedia and has served Radiology in various editorial roles, including deputy editor for Images in Radiology, co-host of the Radiology Podcast, and senior deputy editor of Radiology In Training. He is a 2023-2024 Visiting Scholar with the American Board of Medical Specialties. Dr. Deng previously served on the Board of Directors of the National Resident Matching Program.
