Background
Dr. Francis Deng is an expert in neuroradiology, specializing in diagnostic imaging of the head, neck, brain, and spine.
He is a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard College and earned his medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine. He then completed a medical internship at Brigham and Women's Hospital, followed by diagnostic radiology residency and neuroradiology fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, both affiliates of Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Deng's academic interests include medical education. He has authored chapters in bestselling textbooks such as First Aid for the USMLE Step 1 and Core Radiology: A Visual Approach to Diagnostic Imaging. He is an Editor of Radiopaedia and has served Radiology in various editorial roles for the journal and related digital content. Harvard medical students twice awarded him the Resident Teaching Award in Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital. In residency, he helped create and graduated from the Clinician Educator Track. Dr. Deng previously served on the Board of Directors of the National Resident Matching Program.
