Background
Dr. Eva Hausnerova is a summa cum laude graduate of the Medical School Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic, one of the oldest and most distinguished universities in Europe.
20 years ago, Dr. Hausnerova became a research assistant professor at Georgetown University Hospital. She was involved in Echocardiography research and teaching.
As a principal investigator, Dr. Hausnerova received a research grant from the American Heart Association. She was the co-investigator for echo-contrast agent FDA Approval. Dr.Hausnerova's research was published and appeared in scientific medical journals.
While a fully flagged European cardiologist, Dr. Hausnerova completed postgraduate training requirements in Cardiology in the USA. Dr. Hausnerova enjoys teaching residents and fellows as a clinical/staff physician at Georgetown University Hospital.
Recently she became promoted to Clinical Associate Professor at the Department of Internal Medicine at George Washington University.
Dr. Hausnerova’s medical philosophy emphasizes prevention of heart disease and personalized patient care. Dr. Hausner went into private practice with Edward N. Bodurian, M.D., P.A. in November 2005. In January 2014 she established her own practice, Hausner Cardiology Center.
The International Association of Cardiologists recognizes Dr. Eva Hausnerova, M.D., Ph.D., F.A.C.C. as a leading physician and top cardiologist in the Washington Metropolitan area.
