Background

Dr. Elizabeth Phung is a geriatrician in the Division of Geriatrics at Johns Hopkins University and serves as the current Medical Director of the Beacham Center for Geriatric Medicine at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, Baltimore, MD. She graduated from NOVA Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine and subsequently completed her internal medicine residency at Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, PA.  She completed her geriatrics fellowship at the Harvard Multi-campus Fellowship, along with a second year as a clinician-educator with the VA Boston Healthcare System & Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital. Dr. Phung has interests in improving outpatient primary care for older adults along a continuum of care.  With the goal of becoming an age-friendly health system, Dr. Phung has collaborated with surgical teams to offer a geriatric pre-op surgical clinic focusing on identifying high-risk older adults prior to surgery.
