Background
Diana Nicole Spell, MD, MBA practices Internal Medicine and Pediatrics (Med-Peds) with Johns Hopkins Community Physicians.
As a Med-Peds physician, Dr. Spell’s interests lie primarily in the outpatient arena, caring for both the young and old. She is passionate about the management of teenagers with chronic disease and their ultimate transition from childhood to adulthood as evidenced by her former work with transitional care pediatrics. Dr. Spell has exemplified a strong commitment to serving the less fortunate with prior experiences in medical mission trips to Senegal and Zambia, creating access to free legal services for patients, as well as speaking at community health awareness summits for disadvantaged communities. It is her goal to continue these passions here in the Odenton and Baltimore, Maryland communities.
Dr. Spell received her undergraduate degree in chemistry from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, and later went on to complete both her medical and MBA degrees at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. She completed her residency training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Penn State Health in Hershey, Pennsylvania. She is originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, and loves to travel in her free time.
