Dian Respati Arifin, Ph.D.

Background

Dr. Arifin received her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, focusing on red blood cell engineering. After graduation, she continued her research at Monash University and Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Dr. Arifin has held the position of Research Faculty at Johns Hopkins in image-guided cell transplantation for diabetes treatment since 2011.

Dr. Arifin’s work includes molecular biology and analytical chemistry methods, bioassays (cell-based, protein, enzymatic), human/animal cell culture (2D and 3D), tissue processing, animal study & transplantation surgery, pre-clinical imaging methods, liposome and nano/microparticle and biomaterials.
